Community Applied Training (CAT) Program

To increase the number of Maldivian men and women actively participating in the labour force.

     1. Provides youth with employment-oriented skills training.
     2. Works to improve public perception of training and employment in locally available skills-oriented occupations.
     3. Makes available employment-related information to more Maldivians.
     4. Strengthen the capacity for labour administration and for labour market analysis.

The program provides communities with funding to carry out employment trainings for youth that match the labor market needs of that community.
