The Employers' Federation of Pakistan (EFP) supports Skills Development Councils (SDCs) that provide skilled workforce to the industries as per their requirements and also supports cash to work programmes for unskilled and semi-skilled young people in Pakistan.

6.     Successful youth employment interventions

Skills Development Councils (SDCs) across the country, in collaboration with the ILO and the Ministry of labour, provide skilled workforce to the industries as per their requirements. Currently there are five SDCs in all the four provinces and at the federal level that is providing skills development training to the youth of the country that one hand enhances employability of youth and on the other hand provides skilled workforce to the industries in the required areas and to the required skills level.

The Employers’ Federation of Pakistan also plays its role in emergency response by implementing cash for work programmes through the unemployed unskilled and semi-skilled young men and women. These projects are either funded by the ILO office or from the members of EFP.
