Enterprise Asia receives technical support from the ILO with its Women Entrepreneur Development and Gender Equality project as part of the DWCP; however, the ILO has the potential to provide support for the youth entrepreneurship programs as well.

6.     Successful youth employment interventions

Asia Pacific Youth Entrepreneurship Programs:

1.Participation in AIESEC international internship program: Under this partnership, Enterprise Asia will offer internship opportunities to graduates from all over the world for a period of between 2 to 18 months. During this period of time, the graduates will directly involve in Enterprise Asia core activities of promoting entrepreneurship. This would enable the graduates to experience and hopefully instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in them.

     2.  Enterprise Asia partnered YPAM as a platform to reach out to young working adults. A strategic agreement was entered into with YPAM. Key initiatives to be conducted include: (1) Enterprise Asia will sponsor a series of seminars on entrepreneurship to be organized by YPAM; (2) we will promote the participation of YPAM in future youth conferences, seminars and industry dialogues; (3) Enterprise Asia with YPAM will jointly conduct a series of surveys covering topics such as corporate social responsibility, employers and employees’ surveys and other entrepreneurship issues; and  (4) together with our partners, YPAM will co-organize the 2008 Career Entrepreneurship Expo to be held in April 2008.

     3. Entrepreneur Success Circle (ESC) is a small-scale speaking session organised by Enterprise Asia, the regional think tank for entrepreneurship in Asia Pacific. ESC provides an opportunity for entrepreneurial young people to meet with a successful entrepreneur and to learn from his/ her experience and advice.
