Youth Economic Empowerment Program was established as a global program by Plan International and its partners to as joined forces to attract investments and create opportunities around the world for youth empowerment and employment using approaches that can be replicated and scaled up around the world.

6.     Successful youth employment interventions

Youth will first be provided with basic competencies in the areas of empowerment such as self confidence, interpersonal relationship, problem solving and analytical thinking, etc. Following that, youth will undergo a career test to decide whether to go for employment or self employment track. Youth who choose to select for employment will be given a market-driven vocational training. Youth who choose for self-employment will be supported by a business development services and given access to micro finance.
