2. Mission and Objectives
To equip young people to start businesses in Singapore by mentoring, training, consulting, providing business loans and networking opportunities, thereby making them self-reliant, global-minded and successful entrepreneurs.
1. Promote an entrepreneurial culture among young people in Singapore through educational outreach to local schools, entrepreneurs and corporations
2. Provide accessible financing for viable youth start-ups and to fund the expansion of existing youth businesses
3. Provide appropriate support in the form of business training, mentoring and networking opportunities
4. Collaborate with YBI and other member country youth business programmes through the YBI umbrella to achieve mutually beneficical relationships for networking and learning.

6. Successful youth employment interventions
1. Business Loans and/or Grants:Receive up to $12,500 per business loan (interest free) from YBS with a repayment period of three years. An applicant can also apply up to $50,000 grant based on the YES! Start-ups scheme by SPRING
2. Business Mentoring: YBS provides each YBS entrepreneur with a personal mentor who will walk him/her through the start-up phase of the business. The personal mentor will only be assigned to a YBS entrepreneur after the Loan Selection Panel has awarded him/her a business loan.
