2. Mission and objectives
The goal of this project is to create an improved understanding of how youth entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship start-up programmes contribute to creating more and better employment for youth.This understanding will then contribute to the design of more efficient and effective youth entrepreneurship strategies by making the findings available to national policy makers and youth entrepreneurship promoters.
1. Share the findings of this research as
widely as possible with youth entrepreneurship policy makers, promoters
and practitioners;
2.Create a global network of
entrepreneurship education practitioners and promoters from ministries,
schools and training institutions in countries where the ILO has
introduced the “Know about Business” (KAB) entrepreneurship education
programme;
3.Enable this community of practice to
share lessons learned about the teaching of KAB and the impact of
entrepreneurship education on students; and
4. To share knowledge and learned lessons
of the implementation of other enterprise start-up programmes for
out-of-school youth, such as the Start & Improve Your Business
(SIYB) and the Gender and Entrepreneurship Together (GET Ahead).
