New Zealand Department of Labour, 2010 - Research report on LLN skill development for young people: Young people are already a vulnerable group in the labour market and their lower literacy levels are likely to mean they suffer differentially in terms of employment status, income and in social and personal domains. In this section we set out to determine: benefits to employers and the economy; benefits to individuals; social outcomes of engagement in LLN; trends in employment; transitions into the labour market; and employability for young people/young adults.
