FAO, 2010 - The aim of this paper is to assess the availability of statistical data that are useful to researchers and policy makers dealing with rural youth employment in developing countries, and to present a first analysis of these data. The paper was commissioned by the Gender, Equity and Rural Employment Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO/ESWD) with the aim to better understand rural youth employment problems through a first screening and analysis of the existing data.
